He began his golf career in 2011 at the early age of 18, shortly after graduating. Matthew has won four tournaments in a row. The Greater Augusta Area Sports Council voted him 2010 Male Athlete of the Year. Then, in 2012, while still at school, Matthew was awarded the Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Award.
