Rafael Antonio Pina Nieves, also known as Raphy Pina, is a well-known record producer. He founded Pina Records, the most successful reggaeton label in the world. Rafael also made headlines when he proposed to Natti Natasha. He recently came into the limelight after being sentenced to three years in prison for illegal gun possession.
Early life
Raphy Pina was born on July 4, 1978, on the Puerto Rican island of Isla Del Encanto. The musician comes from a well-established family. Rafael Pina, his father is a well-known music producer and businessman while his mother is a housewife. Raphy decided early on to follow in his father’s footsteps.
Raphy is the eldest child of his parents. He also has two siblings: Victor Pina, a brother, and Maria Fernanda Pina, a sister. Pina received decent grades and graduated from high school, showing that he was a bright student in high school. Despite his fame, the name of the high school he attended is unknown. He then enrolled at a public university in the United States and earned a bachelor’s degree.

Controversy
Raphy was charged in August 2020 with illegally carrying two firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, although he was barred from doing so at the federal level following his 2016 arrest on fraud and money laundering charges.
Raphy was sentenced to prison by a federal judge in Puerto Rico. They also asked him to pay a $150,000 fine for his illegal gun possession conviction.

Raphy Pina was previously married to Carolina Aristizabal, a well-known entrepreneur. Despite having three children with his ex-partner, two sons, and a girl named Mtia Pina, Chingui Pina and his ex-partner separated in mid-2019. They lived a wonderful life until they got separated due to personal reasons.
