When Jones was 17, she gained hands-on experience at Seven Network, where she worked on a project during the 2000 Sydney Olympics. After studying journalism at RMIT, she joined Fox Footy Channel in 2002 as a reporter. She later became a presenter and reporter for Fox Sports News, where she focused primarily on AFL and cricket coverage. Jones also contributed to Foxtel’s coverage of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics and the London 2012 Olympics. She then worked as a reporter during Fox Sports’ coverage of the Big Bash.

Jones hosted AFL Tonight on Fox Sports News in 2016 and later worked as a frontier driver for Fox Footy’s AFL coverage. Jones has also served as a champion of various awards, such as the All-Australian Awards, AFLPA MVP, and Australian Football Hall of Fame.
