Travis Kelce was born on October 5, 1989 in Westlake, Ohio, USA to parents Ed Kelce and Dona Kelce and grew up in the hometown with his sibling brother Jason Kelce, who is also an NFL football player. Always athletic, he played soccer, baseball, and basketball during his school days. Travis is known to have attended Cincinnati Bearcats Football High School in Cleveland Heights, where he was also part of the school football team. For his college career, he joined the University of Cincinnati.

Travis began his football career in high school, where he played actively as part of the school team and also became a three-year letter quarterback. He was also the All-Lake Erie League honoree in his senior year. He continued his career in college when he came to the University of Cincinnati on a scholarship, and he maintained great form and performance during his freshman year in 2009.
However, he was unable to play the following year as he was found positive with marijuana and was subsequently suspended. He later turned pro in 2013 after being drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL Draft, but was unable to play much due to an injury. The following year he played the season in fine form but was called out for unsportsmanlike conduct in a game.
Later in the 2015 season, he was ranked in the top five tight ends by ESPN. In recent years he led the team to Super Bowl LIV and in a game against the San Francisco 49ers he recorded 6 passes for 43 yards and touchdowns and helped the team win by a score of 31-20. Aside from his soccer career, he has also appeared on television on the reality dating show Catching Kelce, which airs on E! Entertainment TV in 2016. He also runs a mentoring and training foundation called Eighty-seven & Running, which he started in 2015 to help underprivileged youth. He also runs a clothing and consumer goods brand – Tru Kolors.
In 2021, he became the fastest tight end in NFL history with 800 career yards and set his career high for 191 yards in a game against the Los Angles Chargers. He was also named AFC Offensive Player of the Week and again set the record for career fastest 9,000 yards. Travis finished the season with 1,125 yards and 9 touchdowns, and was also voted a Pro Bowl All-Pro by AP for the 7th consecutive year and 6th overall.
He started the 2022 season with a bang and has emerged in great form, leading the team to win the game against the Bills by a score of 42-36 and recording an 8-yard touchdown pass. The team has now qualified for the fourth straight AFC Championship game.
