Pittsburgh Pirates (2016-2018)
Tyler began his 2017 season in the Pittsburgh starting lineup. Initially, he struggled with command, giving up five runs in four hits and having to make do with five runs in 1+2/3 innings pitched. In June 2021, Glasnow was placed on the players’ injury list after it was revealed he was being treated for partial cruciate ligament tears and a flexor strain in his right elbow. He remained on the injured list for almost ten days, opting for rehab rather than undergoing the surgeries and other associated medical interfaces.

Afterward, on July 31, 2021, it was revealed that Tyler had to undergo surgery for Tommy John after an unsuccessful stint in rehab.
